via Julie Simmons: What started off as an idea has now captured the hearts, minds and interests of more than 2500 people across the UK who wish to stand against the cruel measures being imposed by the coalition government. Whilst the highest earners in the country are awarded tax breaks and big business invariably gets away with not paying it’s fair share – or in some cases paying no tax at all – the ConDem coalition is targeting some of the most vulnerable in society to pay for the financial crisis. Many of these people are now facing eviction proceedings as they are simply unable to meet the financial demands being made of them. This cannot be allowed to continue – now is the time to show your disapproval! Bring the Bedroom Tax to Cameron’s doorstep. Meet 1 pm, Sat 24th Aug, Church Green, Witney, Oxfordshire Bring sleeping bag, tent and food for over night if you can - otherwise just yourself to support for as long as you are able.
