Oxford City Council isn't Listening March, 31st August

A march for all the people of Oxford who are feeling ignored and sidelined by Oxford City Council is planned for 31 August, Bank Holiday Monday.

Campaigns for Temple Cowley Pools and Fitness Centre, the doors closed to the public since Christmas eve, 
Cowley Community Centre - demolished quickly and without consultation for fear of imaginary asbestos, Cowley Community Centre in Barns Road - site given away for free to private developer who has ruined the lives of all who live behind the massive new build of 40 flats over 4 floors plus a roof terrace overlooking their homes and gardens, Northway Community Centre, site also given away for free to same developer, East Oxford Games Hall, Film Oxford, Howard/Catherine St Community Garden, and East Oxford Community Centre, now told that their centre will be taken over and and run by the City Council from 31 August, invite everyone to tell Oxford City Council to listen up, by bring placards and A4-sized ears to the march.

The march leaves from Cowley at 11.30am proceeding to Manzil Way on the Cowley Road, rallying to depart from Manzil Way at 12.15 to proceed down Cowley Road, into town, up Cornmarket to Broad Street.

So please be on this march and bring your EARS and placards about the causes dear to your hearts.
